And So It Begins...

With millions of blogs on the internet today, you may be wondering what exactly is unique or revolutionary about this particular blog. Well the truth is...it's NOT unique. While I as an individual have my own experiences, the story I tell has been told for almost 2000 years. As a Catholic, I belong to the Church founded by Christ Himself, the Church by which God wishes to bring all men to the knowledge of the truth and life everlasting. But here's the thing...being Catholic isn't easy. I don't say being Catholic "isn't easy" in the sense that somehow Canon Law or the precepts of the Church are strict, rigid, and difficult to follow; I can assure you that the benefits of obedience are far greater than the downfalls. My problem consists of knowing the Truth, knowing God HIMSELF, and other people not knowing the same truth. This is why I have entitled this blog, "The Catholic Sword." For knowing the Truth is indeed a double-edged sword. With it comes power, glory, and happiness. But perhaps of equal strength is the sorrow that fills my soul knowing that many others do not possess this Truth (in its fullness)...
