In accordance with the will of the Holy Father, 24 men will be elevated to "the sacred purple" on November 20, 2010. Among these holy individuals is Archbishop Raymond Burke, former archbishop of the archdiocese of St. Louis. His Excellency is very active in promoting the usus antiquior and will be a blessing to the College of Cardinals. Please pray for these blessed men as they prepare to take on such a profound role in the Church. An excellent article concerning this issue may be read here.
This blog examines the life of a Catholic in the world today and reflects on how having the fullness of Truth is truly a double-edged sword.

"Pray Constantly"
In order to please almighty God, we must first know Him. As with any relationship, growing in understanding of someone involves efficient communication. And so it is with God. For what child does not speak to his father? How much more should we speak to He who is Father par excellence! In His infinite mercy, Christ Jesus calls us to ever greater intimacy with Himself. I have recently been reawakened to the importance of prayer through my involvement with the Knights of Columbus. Founded in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney, the Knights of Columbus promotes, among other things, the faithful recitation of the Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Keep in mind that the Rosary is really the prayer of the Gospel. Whatever form the prayer may take, remember to communicate with God, fulfilling St. Paul's exhortation to "pray constantly" (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
